“Cheesecakes by Melissa” started in 2001.  Clients were co-workers and friends.  Melissa baked in her home while trying to find out, by researching, how to start a business.   Due to the lack of finances, the many facets of starting a business, and not being able to find a licensed kitchen rental space discouraged her and after about 3 years of searching, she decided to stick to baking on the small scale. 

A few years went by and a caterer she worked with recommended adding regular cakes to her business – birthday, anniversary, wedding, etc.  In 2005 she started taking cake classes and added cakes to her menu.  In 2010 she found a cake company willing to rent kitchen space and although somewhat a struggle, she has managed with the help of many to become a professional licensed baker.  Her goal is to continue to learn and grow into a large company by “Serving the Very Best…” 

“Serving the Very Best because every one of my clients are equally  important and will receive the best I have to offer.”

She has been told that her cheesecakes are the best ever tasted.

Although not on the website menu, cakes (for all occasions) are also available.  If interested, please inquire.
